Signs That You Have High Blood sugar Levels That You Shouldn’t Ignore

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) or diabetes belongs to a group of metabolic diseases. People with diabetes have high blood glucose, because body cells do not respond adequately to insulin, or because the production of insulin is insufficient, or in some cases they suffer from both conditions.

Diabetes can cause severe health problems like kidney failure, heart disease, lower-extremity amputations, and blindness.

Higher levels of blood sugar for a prolonged period of time can lead to severe health disease known as diabetes. There are number of reasons for increased levels of blood sugar, such as consumption of a lot of sugar, physical inactivity, genetic predispositions, stress, drinking soda smoking, etc. The symptoms of type two diabetes are feeling worn out, being irritable, weight gain, impotence, wounds that will not heal, yeast infections, dry mouth, tingling or numbness in the hands or feet, peeing a lot, blurry vision, and feeling of  thirst.

The glycemic index (GI) is a measurement of how much the foods that contain carbohydrates are raising the blood sugar level. The index uses 0 to 100 point scale. The higher the food’s index is, the more it influences (raises) the level of blood glucose.
